Some of the Best Date Ideas in Southwest (SW)

The original plan for the nation’s capital was to take land from the nearby states of Maryland and Virginia and create the District of Columbia, which was to be a square measuring 10 miles on each side. The square was to be divided into four equal quadrants: Northeast, Northwest, Southeast and Southwest. But, due in large part to disputes regarding slavery, the land south and west of the Potomac River was returned to Virginia. As a result, Southwest is tiny in comparison to the other quadrants.

Despite its small size, Southwest still has a lot to offer couples! In particular, check out the Waterfront. With its fresh seafood market, romantic waterfront restaurants, and fun river cruises, it’s an awesome spot for date night!
